Cute Ballerina Bunny Crochet Pattern!

Hello all! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and ate a lot of turkey and pie! I know I did!  I even made sure to wear a flowy dress so that when my belly expanded it could do so with ease. I am so happy that it is finally the holiday season because its always such a happy time.  I love being able to spend time with family and friends.  For thanksgiving I was able to go to Michigan, with my boyfriend, to visit my family and it was so nice to chat and catch up with everyone I haven’t seen in so long.

So this crochet pattern really has nothing to do with Thanksgiving other than the warm fuzzy feeling that it gives me.  I actually created this bunny crochet pattern for a friend of mine who is about to have a baby girl! Her baby shower is coming up very soon and I thought this would be the perfect gift for her and her new bundle of joy! My friend is also a dancer in the company that I dance for. She is a beautiful dancer and that gave me the idea to make the ballerina! I also chose the classic little girl color of pink, with a cute little white ruffle! I hope she enjoys it!

Whimsical Giraffe baby blanket!

Here it is! A fully finished baby lovey blanket! This takes the two previous patterns that I have posted, and combines them into a beautiful little security blnaket for baby's and toddlers. These lovey blankets are my specialty and I am so happy to share it with you! Most baby lovey blankets only have an animal head, and sometimes arms attached to the blanket.  What makes my version of a lovely blanket unique is that there is a full animal on it!  When I was little I always liked to be able to move my stuffed animals limbs, to make my them run, dance, and play with other stuffed animals.  Another thing that makes my patterns special is that the animal is located on the corner of the blanket.  I have noticed that a great deal of lovey blankets have their animal heads placed right in the middle.  This is a fine option but I like to place the animal in the corner so that the child can have something to hold onto and still have a full little blanket dangling bellow.  This pattern allows your child to have a blanket that they can love, snuggle, and cuddle up with as well as play with!

Happy Crocheting!

First Pattern!! Black Cat

Hello!
So like I promised here is my first pattern! My roommate is going to be a crazy cat lady for Halloween and she wanted me to make a crochet cat to sit on her shoulder, so in the spirt of Halloween I decided to make it a black cat.

She ended up using this cat along with 4 other cats that were stitched all over her costume.  This was a very creative and unique costume and she ended up winning with it! I like to think that I helped contribute to this win.

About Me

Hello!

About two years ago I first picked up a crochet hook and started to find my love for crocheting.  My sister and I were home for Christmas break and we wanted to try a new craft.  We both have always been very crafty but had never tried crochet, so we decided this would be a great new craft!  We were very ambitious and decided that we would have a Harry Potter marathon and make blankets.  Little did we know, but crocheting a blanket using a single crochet stitch takes a lot longer than a few Harry Potter movies for two crochet novices.  Needless to say we did not finish those blankets but settled for scarfs.

Since that first crochet project I have learned a lot about crocheting, keep learning, and try to challenging myself with new projects.  I taught myself how to crochet by watching countless youtube videos, and reading many blog posts about crochet. I am inspired by bloggers such as Sewrella, HopefullyHoney and All About Ami, just to name a few.  I strive to have a blog that can provide quality information and patterns for crafters just like these blogs do.

Like I already said, I started off by crocheting blnaket...or really scarfs, and since then I have expanded my abilities.  I have made many more blankets (for real this time), wash rags, pillows, baby blankets, etc..  Most recently I have been creating baby lovey blankets with amigurumi animals or dolls attached.  I decided to challenge myself one night to make a amigurumi animal.  I was nervous at first because I had never done anything like this before but it ended up turning out really well! I found a pattern on pinterest for a little lion.  It took me a while to complete but eventually I made him! I was so excited to show my family what I had made the next morning! This creation inspired me to start making these crochet baby lovely blankets.  They are so much fun to make and bring me such joy, knowing that a little one will soon cuddle up with it.

Here is a picture of my first finished baby blanket!! This little guy ended up going to a very special little kid named George, and I couldn't be more happy about it!

So please join me as I continue to explore the world of crochet!  My first pattern will be up very soon!
